Safran Software Solutions AS, a leading provider of project and portfolio management software announced today the appointment of Lars Petter Eliassen as Chief Executive Officer. Lars Petter will have the overall strategic and commercial oversight of Safran with the primary goal of growth and globalization. Mr. Eliassen will take up the position as CEO of the company effective on June 1, 2014.
Lars Petter joins Safran from Intelecom Group, a telecom solution provider and systems integrator, where he served as Director of the Oil/Gas and Shipping division. During his time at Intelecom, Lars Petter led his division to 30+% compounded annual growth, including two acquisitions.
Previously, Lars Petter spent ten years with RigNet, a global remote communications provider, where he held a range of executive positions including business development, global sales management and general management roles, most notably Vice President Eastern Hemisphere. He joined RigNet as a start-up and was part of the team that took the company public on NASDAQ in 2010.
Lars Petter holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rice University in Houston, Texas. He also attended an executive program for growing companies at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
