Safran Partners with DecisionTrain to Unlock Latin America

07th Jan 21

STAVANGER, 7TH JANUARY 2021 – Today, Safran is proud to announce its new partnership with San Jose-based reseller, DecisionTrain.

Latin America is a growing market across a range of industries. Within each are projects that need to be completed on-time and on-budget. We have seen an opportunity to bring support to those projects and have partnered with DecisionTrain to help deliver it.

DecisionTrain provides specialist training and consulting for businesses around risk quantification and effective use of decision-making tools, like Safran Risk. They also train and consult on risk methodologies such as Monte Carlo simulation and advanced statistical and sensitivity analyses.

Fernando Hernandez, Senior Consultant at DecisionTrain, expressed his excitement and the opportunities Latin America presents as a burgeoning market:

Two major developments about our new partnership with Safran Risk excite us here at DecisionTrain. Firstly, there is general consensus among global consulting firms, strategists, and think tanks, that Latin America is poised to significantly increase its infrastructure investment over the next decade or two."

"Secondly, what has become standard best-practices on several key industries in Western countries, such as quantitative risk analysis for projects, is a newly-introduced concept to our Latin American countries. These two elements together mean that we will see huge growth potential in our region, as several key resource-oriented and project-oriented industries experience growth and modernize their way of thinking."

Stephen Hunt, Director of Business Development, North America, at Safran said:

We at Safran Software solutions are excited about the partnership with Fernando Hernandez of DecisionTrain as he is a well-known and highly regarded expert in quantitative risk analysis. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion are second to none and will be an excellent resource to the Latin American project risk management community as they adopt quantitative cost and risk management best practices.

Richard Wood, CEO at Safran concluded:

Safran has been the leading Project Controls software supplier to complex asset intensive projects throughout Europe for many years and it's time to expand our horizons to new markets. Latin America provides exciting new prospects for partnerships and greater global collaboration with control and risk professionals in that region.

"I am excited for Safran to work with DecisionTrain, an innovative and committed reseller, as they help us open the door to some exciting new projects."

Stay tuned for more news about our continued expansions and new opportunities.
