On the 27th of June, 2017, Safran hosted a live and interactive webinar, featuring guest speaker Jan B Johnsen, Commercial Manager and Process Owner for Project Planning at Aibel, that focused on risk analysis and how to improve project planning.
Risk assessment is a significant element of capital project planning. If schedule risk analysis is made available to the broader planning community, the quality of the project schedule can drastically improve and project planners will also gain a better understanding of duration uncertainties.
What We Covered
During the webinar, Jan B Johnsen and the Safran team discussed the importance of schedule risk analysis and the impact of making this available to the planning community before and during the execution of a project. Other topics included:
- How and why Aibel uses Safran Project and its fully integrated SRA module to schedule risk and analyse a wide variety of projects.
- Why schedule risk analysis no longer needs to be available to only the largest and highest profile projects, nor conducted only by experts.
- How Safran Project can directly assist the planning community to evaluate the effects of duration uncertainty.
