The Situation:

At Safran, we build software that helps manage some of the world’s most complex projects – from space exploration to major infrastructure and energy developments. Now we’re looking for another sharp eye and curious mind to join our team and help us continue raising the bar for software quality.

We’re adding a new Software Tester / QA Engineer to our product team. If you have a keen eye for detail, enjoy spotting even the smallest inconsistencies, and love collaborating with developers to deliver high-quality code, you’ll thrive here.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Design, write, and maintain test cases and test plans based on product requirements.

  • Execute tests to ensure software quality.

  • Identify, document, and report issues and deviations.

  • Work closely with developers and product managers to improve product quality early in the development cycle.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in software testing or QA roles.

  • A track record of writing and maintaining test cases.

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycles (Agile/Scrum).

  • Experience with manual testing and defect tracking tools (e.g. Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps).

  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset.

  • Professional fluency in English – written and spoken.

Bonus Points If You Also Have:

  • Experience in testing enterprise software or project planning tools.

  • Knowledge of SQL and database creation.

  • Background in working in a SaaS environment.

  • ISTQB certification or other recognized software testing qualifications.

Why Safran?

You’ll be part of a friendly, skilled, and international product team that takes pride in building robust, user-focused software. Our Stavanger office is our development hub, and we’d love for you to join us here.

At Safran, we believe the best ideas come from collaboration, curiosity, and the occasional coffee-fueled whiteboard session. If that sounds like your kind of workplace, we’d love to hear from you.
