With over 25 years experience in conducting cost and schedule risk analysis, Ian will discuss some of the mistakes that project teams make and how those mistakes lead to poor results. Ian will also discuss how to avoid those issues and how industry best practices have evolved to help project teams be successful with CSRA.

Hulett & Associates
David Hulett provides consulting and training services in project risk management and scheduling through his firm Hulett & Associates, LLC. His clients have included companies in aerospace and defense, oil and gas, construction, pharmaceutical, transportation, communications, IT and large science. He has consulted for several US Government agencies including Defense agencies and Department of Energy national laboratories, NASA, GAO, DHS and GSA. Dr. Hulett focuses on quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis and on project scheduling. Clients of Hulett & Associates, LLC are in the US, Canada, he Far East, Europe, South America and the Middle East.
Dr. Hulett was project manager for the revision of the Risk Management chapter of the PMBOK® Guide that was published in 2000 and again for the 3rd Edition. He was on the Core Committee for the PMI Practice Standard for Scheduling and was the Deputy Project Manager of the PMI Practice Standard for Risk Management.
He has authored or co-authored four Recommended Practices on risk analysis and decision analysis topics for AACE International. He has authored or co-authored ten articles featured in Cost Engineering, the AACE professional journal. He was admitted as a Fellow to AACE International in 2015 and received the Dunfield award for project management training as well. In 2024 he was awarded AACE International’s Total Cost Management Excellence award.
Dr. Hulett has published two books entitled Practical Schedule Risk Analysis (2009, Gower), and Integrated Cost – Schedule Risk Analysis (2011, Gower).
Dr. Hulett has held strategic planning positions at TOSCO and TRW. Dr. Hulett managed offices in the Federal Energy Agency, Department of Energy and the Office of Management and Budget. He was an Instructor in the Economics Department at Harvard University. His Ph.D. is from Stanford and B.A is from Princeton.

With over 25 years of expertise in planning and scheduling for significant infrastructure and construction projects, Santosh Bhat is an AACE Certified Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) now operating as independent consultant, supporting contractors, consultants, and client agencies with project planning, scheduling and related services, with a special focus on Schedule Risk Analysis.
Based in Sydney, Australia, as well as representing Safran Risk in the Asia/Pacific region, Santosh is also the Co-Founder/CEO of Turbo-Chart, and is passionate about improving the role of planning and scheduling throughout industry.

As a visionary in the world of oil and gas capital project management, maintenance and turnaround planning, Ian has lead many large clients through development of PMO’s and integration projects. He also conducts risk analysis on Capital and Turnaround projects.
